How to Heal Redness | La Roche Posay Rosaliac Serum

By Alexa - April 05, 2020

With the harsh weather dissipating, my skin is definitely a lot calmer and smoother. But that's not to say I don't still need a pick me up every now and again. I've had a lot of issues in the past with redness on my cheeks, most probably rosacea.

A product I tested out recently was the La Roche Posay Rosaliac AR Intense.

This was a very spontaneous purchase, one I came across in Europe last year, and decided it was the perfect product to try out. I've tried this brand before and it's definitely a reputable and reliable range, with more of a scientific basis than 'instagram aesthetic' if you know what I mean.

I picked this up in a pharmacy for about £12, and I imagine the full retail price in the UK would be around £20. The aim of this serum is to calm and soothe red skin, particularly as a result of rosacea. This could be considered a topical cream, as the consistency is very thick. I used it around my nose area too morning and evening.

I found the redness was reduced little by little, but did not 'cure' my skin per se. It felt really soothing to apply, and dried almost transparently, so definitely one for daytime. If you have sensitive skin, it should work well too. Be cautious with oily skin as it could clog your pores and cause excess oil, but as a night serum it would be perfect for sinking in to the skin.

I didn't break out as a result and the red patches on my cheeks definitely went down with regular use. I've turned to a number of new products to fix the issue, but I can definitely recommend this as a good option!

xoxo
