A recently discovered vegan brand has been Super Facialist - an old favourite - but only recently did I find it amongst the top rated vegan brands on Boots' website! Today's review is specifically the Salicylic Acid wash, priced at £7.99. I wanted a decent face wash as I switch between brands a lot.
I have tested out these products before so I knew it was a reputable range, but the fact that it was anti-blemish drew me in. I normally go for very soothing, soft cleansers but I figured I might as well get a 2-in-1 with this purifying wash.
The packaging is very good value, I must admit, for 150ml this was definitely a bargain as I use it once a day and the packaging has yet to feel any lighter! The added vitamin B3 and grape extract add a nice scent and make this feel more nourishing on the skin. I haven't seen any major changes but nor have I seen any massive breakouts.
The only point is that this doesn't lather up well but I always double cleanse in the shower, to make sure my face is totally clean in the evening. My skin feels quite soft and soothed after using this, so I would recommend it for all skin types.
This could be a good choice for teenagers and anyone having hormonal breakouts. It's gentle enough for daily use as it's not at all exfoliating or drying but the salicylic acid (although a smaller extract) should curb any major acne issues.
