Lee Stafford Bleach Blonde Hot Shots | Worth It?

By Alexa - November 15, 2020

A product I rave about regularly on my Youtube is the Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes Hot Shots. I have naturally darker warm-toned blonde hair, so I'm often on the verge of going ginger!

I've found several amazing drugstore products that help me maintain a lighter cool-toned blonde, and this is one of them. The purple tone of the treatment removes brassy tones and adds a silver effect to the hair. Don't worry - your hair won't go silver but the reflecting tones within your hair will have that silvery shade, rather than golden.

These retail for about £6.99 from Boots, which is a massive bargain, considering it's an at-home alternative to paying for a salon treatment. I use these once a week or so, sometimes every wash if I've gone too long without toning my hair, and applied lots of lightening spray.

These have a lovely scent, and lather up so easily that if you have short or fine hair, half a pack with suffice per application! It's the best value product I've found for toning my hair (along with Provoke's range), and it really changes the base tone of my hair.

This probably contains a small amount of bleach, which is why you shouldn't leave it on for more than 5-6 minutes, I often go for 6 minutes whilst I wash my body and face in the shower. I let the foam sink into my hair and seep into all the strands and it starts to create a tingling sensation as it's described as self-heating.

I imagine this helps with the lightening/toning process, but just something to keep in mind if you have issues with your scalp.

I highly recommend this product if you're a blonde looking to maintain the light and cool-hued tone of your hair, especially during quarantine!

This brand is also cruelty free and some products are vegan, which is a massive plus!

Let me know your thoughts!

xoxo
