Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Leave in Conditioner | Worth it?

By Alexa - November 07, 2020

A quite spontaneous purchase was this Charles Worthington leave-in conditioner, I like the brand and needed a new hair serum/oil and somehow gravitated to this. I've had good experiences with the shampoos and conditioners in the past, and I'm always a sucker for haircare brands sold at Boots.

This is a very lightweight product and to me is more of a serum, rather than a cream consistency. For that reason, I think it can be very multipurpose - to smooth the ends, post-shower and for all hair types.

This retails for just £6.99, so it a total bargain, especially given the 200ml size of the bottle.

The one downfall for me, is the ingredients list. Some ingredients are not listed in order of concentration, however, the 3rd ingredient is perfume which can be irritating as well as citric acid and linalool. If you are prone to breakouts, I would recommend a natural oil such as argan as you may get breakouts around the hairline.

Having said that, I've not noticed any major breakouts or issues caused by this product, and the results for my hair have been positive! The natural extracts are very low on the ingredients list, but again, this is such an affordable product, you can't expect too much. Somehow the composition does really work, and I was surprised to see my hair looking truly shiny and frizz-free the next morning.

Another bonus is the cruelty-free ethos of the brand and vegan-friendly products, so ethically speaking, this is a great brand to support.

If you deal with frizz, dryness or split ends - test this product out as I'm very impressed with the consistency and effect it's had on my hair!

xoxo
