The Ordinary AHA BHA Mask

By Alexa - July 21, 2019

Today I wanted to put a little spotlight on a brand I'm sure most of you have seen for years, but which I've only just started trying. The Ordinary always seemed like a very niche brand and one with a much higher price point than I thought!

The packaging makes it seem much more mature, exclusive and research-focused than your traditional drugstore brand. So to my surprise, this cost only £6?! The packaging is very sleek as I mentioned and that's why I love reaching for this to give my skin a much needed boost.

Some high end products are intimidating and make you want to use it literally once a year or on your wedding day! I've been incorporating this one on a weekly basis so read on for my thoughts.

This is a more abrasive choice, so steer away if you have cystic acne or sensitive, dry skin. I have some acne and struggle with the texture, so I wanted the elusive AHA and BHA extracts as part of my routine.

This is exfoliating, but I've found apart from a tingling throughout the 10 minutes, there wasn't a noticeable change. After washing this off, my skin did look a tad red, but also smoother and calmer. Right now, when I look in the mirror, I have a dewy and fresh complexion and my blemishes are less visible.

Obviously, it takes time for complete changes, but my skin looks and feels a bit more even and I haven't experienced any breakouts so this has a thumbs up from me!
