My Relaxing Evening Ritual

An important part of my evenings is unwinding mentally and physically from the day, whether or not it was difficult. I find I can't fall asleep easily or relax my mind unless I take these steps!

First up, is a relaxing pillow mist or alternatively, an essential oil. I found a lot of great options in Tk Maxx actually, they have an entire 'clean beauty' section with more natural brands. This one from Nature Love came in a number of scents. 

I spray this around my pillows two to three times right before bed and it fades away quite quickly, but just the act of spraying a lavender spray is so soothing. The scent is quite strong initially and I imagine a little bit lingers. 



Next is something I love to read before bed, especially if I feel inspired to focus inwards rather than let my thoughts get carried away with things that happened throughout the day. It's hard to not overthink and get anxious if you're dealing with an issue, so finding something simple to read to ground you is so essential!


This book by Kyle Gray is amazing to teach us and remind us of the most important aspects in life, and within ourselves. So far I've read about trusting the process of how things unfold, creating my reality in parallel with 'destiny' and feeling safe within our environment.

This is great if you're overcoming depression or anxiety and find evenings an uncomfortable time in terms of unwinding and allowing your thoughts to subside.
