You guys may have gathered now that I am slowly moving into more natural alternatives for skincare, and as I've featured on my Youtube, a lot of essential oil, botanical products.
One brand that is always top of my list when headed to the drugstore is Botanics at Boots. This is one of the most affordable and gentle brands I've come across, they don't test on animals as Boots has a cruelty free policy, and it contains a high concentration of natural extracts.
The two most recent purchases are the Triple Age Renewal eye serum and the Rosehip facial oil. I have briefly mentioned these but I wanted to give an overview of the brand. These both retail for under £10 - a total bargain! Eye creams last an eternity in my experience and oils with a dropper applicator also go a long way, so why not invest?
This was very lightweight under the eyes, and had a very subtle brightening effect. I love a richer formula for when I'm dousing my undereyes in concealer, so this was a must-have during the winter.
I can't speak to the anti-ageing effects yet, however I didn't experience any side effects or dryness.
This is one of my favourite ranges, as this is completely organic and contains mostly natural ingredients. That means more goodness for the skin, rather than parabens, preservatives etc. An oil can be scary for oily skin - but alas, that is my exact skin type x1002823!
I have a very sensitive t-zone so this could have broken me out like crazy, but it felt really lightweight and nourishing. A lot of brands are infusing products with rosehip, and for good reason. This is amazing for evening out the skin tone and hydrating any sensitive, dry or red patches. I've noticed a much more refreshed skin tone and appearance to my face the following morning.
Both these products contain specific botanical and vitamin extracts to target discolouration, acne or dryness. I would definitely recommend both of these, and with the oil, a few drops in the evening could be just the refresher your skin needs.
