I'm always on the lookout for more eco-friendly and natural products, so when I stumbled upon Maui with a quick 'vegan' search through Boots.com, I was feeling "asdfghjkl" as the kids used to say.
I had heard of this brand briefly in the past, but never committed to buying something, so when I had Boots points to spend, this was my first port of call! Maui from what I gather is a Hawaiian-inspired brand with natural and environmentally conscious ranges.
This product has a very thick consistency, which is what I love as you can use less but it still feels like its penetrating into the hair very well. A small scoop coated my hair evenly, making it instantly feel softer. Of course, once your hair is dry, then you can really see the results.
Another point to mention, this has a lovely, fresh smell and really lingers after you wash it out.
This mask lasts a long time, I want to say 3 months approximately with regular use. I would recommend only using this once a week as it is made for damaged hair and could overload finer/thinner hair textures.
Plus point: this contains lots of natural extracts which are much more gentle on the hair and it feels like you're using a homemade mask!
This is also cruelty free, which is a major must-have for me and anyone making more conscious shopping choices in 2019. I would say overall I noticed my hair lengths were smoother and the ends felt softer, as if I had used a serum. I will say my hair was still knotty, so it will only leave a temporary result rather than 'fixing' damaged hair.
I hope you guys test it out too!
