The Secret Hero & Beauty Favourites

By Alexa - April 02, 2018

I thought a little compilation post was due this week as I've been M.I.A recently. I've compiled a little flatlay for all the things I've been loving lately, so read on if you fancy some good recommendations!

I've been trying to develop good habits lately, or better habits should I say. The first on my list of things to do is writing a gratitude journal. I'm not really the type to write in a journal as I prefer to meditate or literally just think about things instead of writing them down.

I have this gorgeous Trust the Journey notepad from Eccolo which I found in TK Maxx. I love the simple but chic design which means I can carry it with me and it doesn't actually look like a secret little diary..

I write very simple notes but I try to write everyday so I'm becoming more mindful and reflecting on my day, just by writing a few things I'm grateful for! This stems from my love of studying the law of attraction - a belief system which has been really widely discussed in recent years and one that really fascinates me. The Secret Hero is a follow up of The Secret which lays out the main principles of LOA and how to implement it daily in your life. This presents the steps to conquering your goals based on a number of well known U.S businesspeople.

Next in my favourites is Philosophy Pure Grace - a delicate and beautiful 3 in 1 product. This works in the bath, shower and for your hair! If you haven't checked out the brand I highly recommend it, many companies are copying them recently and each scent is so unique and I love the packaging. I chose the 240ml instead of the huge bottle as this was on offer for £9.

Last but not least, this Tai & Jon hand cream has a delicious scent, its not particularly sweet or anything, but has a really unique scent in comparison to normal drugstore products. It contains amber amongst other very earthy scents so if you like a warm but quite spicy scent, you may enjoy this. I picked it up in Costa Del Sol last year so I think it's available in European drugstores and department stores.

Have you tried any of these?

xoxo
