Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

My current favourite foundation is one I used to love, and wasn't sure I'd turn back to. The Too Faced Born This Way was my go-to during uni years, around 2016. I bought it for the first time on a 'treat yo self' whim, and was impressed with how natural it looked. Unfortunately, back then I was obsessed with matte skin so the subtle dewiness was always at bay. But read on for my overview:

The packaging is always immaculate with this brand, and part of the indulgence of collecting their products. If I had a makeup brand, it wouldn't be dissimilar to this! I also love that they are cruelty free!

The shade I picked was far too light, so I mix it with a darker foundation, I chose 'cloud', not realising it would in fact make me look translucent. Go down a shade if you're buying a light colour, or better yet actually test it out in store! I will say everything else is amazing - the texture feels light and easy to blend and the coverage is medium buildable so a second layer will cover all imperfections.

I use a beauty blender to apply, and it has a creamy liquid formula so one pump is enough for my whole face. It can get a bit oily later in the day as it's a hydrating formula, so remember to set and powder but otherwise, I haven't experience transference or oxidising!

This is about £29 at Boots, where I buy to get advantage card points, and it lasts me about 3-4 months. Overall, you can't go wrong with this - I have oily skin and it somehow still works well on my t-zone. It looks natural and I've always had compliments on my skin after using this.

Have you tried it?

xoxo
