Travel Essentials | Drugstore Makeup

I've really become a (dilettante) expert in packing light, especially when it comes to products. As a self-proclaimed skincare and palette addict, I've somehow amassed enough sample size items to fit in any bag! I usually keep all my products in my hand luggage whether or not I have a suitcase as I always need a top up of moisturiser or lipgloss.

Read on to see my top picks for travelling light:

Palettes are a must, as usually one for eyeshadow and one for contour will do the trick. Makeup Revolution and Too Faced have great eyeshadow choices, and a dark contour/blush palette can be multi-use for eyeshadow too! These take up less room than individual pieces and you'll have all the colours you'll need.

Sleek is another great brand, as their highlighter palettes double up as inner corner highlight or lid shades! This Solstice one is my favourite as it has four different shades which suit tan or pale skin.

Lip products are not a fuss for me, as I go for bolder shades on holiday. I love adding a lip balm and then a bright red over the top to prevent cracks or creases. The Makeup Revolution ones have quite a rich formula and a good consistency to last a few hours. I also throw in any Benefit travel sized items I have as I've collected those over the years. The only bulky item you should have is your foundation or powder which I didn't include, but can't go without!

What brands do you love?

xoxo
