How To Get Out Bad Moods

By Alexa - February 21, 2018

Often times during the winter I've found myself feeling de-motivated and lethargic in the evenings. I've found a really empowering routine for times like these. It's not realistic to follow this everyday of course, with a full time job or expectations I believe a little indulgence from time to time is enough to recharge.

These tips and routines are something that will feed your mind, body and soul. Read on to hear how I got my perfect routine in order

If you've seen my youtube video, you'll know I love bubble baths and music, this is usually my go-to to begin with. It's also a fab way to multi-task; reading, catching up on emails or listening to podcasts as I'm not someone who can just sit in the water...

Following this, I love to light some candles and create a relaxing vibe in my bedroom. I'm loving any Yankee Candle choice although I have a staggering amount of candles from deep musks to cherry blossom. In addition to these, I have a rose quartz crystal and the beautiful shining black one has a name I've forgotten. Both are great for relaxing your mind and calming your body so when you're out of balance, they're great to have around the room

A good book will take you anywhere you want to go, and a self-help/non fiction such as How to Be Lovely by Melissa Hellstern is a lovely choice. I'm a big Audrey fan and any topic that inspires you or makes you smile is the best choice when you're having a bad day.

Next up, adding some pot pourri to your room is essential for weekends. I spend more time in my room, on my laptop and just walking around the room so having a fresh scent which brings back happy memories always helps. I love The Body Shop oils but to put your mind at ease, I recommend Lavender oil on pressure points.

Finally, a girl can never go wrong with chocolate. I usually feel stroppy when I'm PMSing so a few bars from the Green & Black Orange Dark Chocolate bar always calms me down (just a little..)

What are your favourite choices?

xoxo
