"Perfume is a moment of freedom"
- Sonia Rykiel
A perfume that I've fallen in love with this year (yes, in just two months) is Gucci Bamboo which I tested in Boots one day and loved how it smelled on my clothes. It's a very rich scent so one which will linger throughout the day.
Even on my morning commute I can smell a slight mist from my scarf. Gucci isn't a brand I steer towards when it comes to perfume but one which I've recently had my eye on as maybe I'm growing up a little more (just a little) and looking to more iconic, sophisticated scents.
This was only £26 on sale at Fragrance Direct during the January sales, and since I'm a sucker for good packaging, I wanted to buy the set rather than just the 30ml perfume. This is all eau de parfum so it's the original more concentrated version. The top notes are orange blossom and bergamot which add a sharp citrus but it remains light and feminine with lily and vanilla.
I am someone who needs a mix of scents and something exciting, as a self-confessed true Gemini, this mix of eclectic yet well paired notes are perfect if you're looking for a feminine scent to add to your collection which would work for daytime and formal events.
This lasts a long time too, as you would expect from a luxury brand. I found that it faded throughout the day but didn't disappear so if I brushed through my hair or fixed my clothing in the mirror for example, I could smell the sweeter base notes.
Have you tried this?
xoxo
